The Arnold Classic is a bodybuilding competition created by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Lorimer in 1989. The event started in the United States and has been expanding its borders. In 2011, it won its first edition outside the country, which was held in Spain. In 2013, Brazil hosted the event, being the first edition in Latin America. Midway Labs USA sponsors the Brazilian stage of the Arnold Classic. Today, the event also has contests in Australia, South Africa and China. With more than 175,000 visitors worldwide, the competition brings together 18,000 athletes, coaches, physical activity practitioners and investors, distributed in 45 competitions and sporting events, including 12 Olympic modalities.
